Update: Voluntary Administration of Zone Manufacturing Pty Ltd (Zone RV)

Update: Voluntary Administration of Zone Manufacturing Pty Ltd (Zone RV)

Thursday 4th December 2025 - Since sharing our initial statement earlier this week, we have now reviewed the documents issued by the appointed Administrators of Zone Manufacturing Pty Ltd and Zone RV Holdings Pty Ltd. We know many customers are searching for clarity, so this update aims to summarise the key points released so far and outline the next steps for those who have payments, deposits or vans currently with the manufacturer.

As before, we want to be clear that Off Grid Outfitters is not part of the administration process and we do not speak on behalf of Zone RV or the Administrators. The information below is provided simply to help all customers navigate what is understandably a difficult and uncertain situation and is based on the information we have gathered, and various conversations we have had over the last 4 days. All interpretations should be checked independently.

NOTE TO AUDIENCE - For anyone that is not affected, or watching from the sidelines, I would implore you to refrain from taking anything written here and using it as a means to critique or criticise the intentions behind the information provided. These updates are nothing more than an effort to help customers affected and circulate information in a quick fashion so people can make their own decisions, or seek clarification. This is an overwhelming situation for most, and our objective is to help!

We have absolutely no intention or underlying objective to deflect any accountability or any of our responsibilities.

If anyone would like to discuss anything detailed in any of these Blog Posts, please reach out and speak to me directly.

1. Summary of Key Information From the Administrators' Circular

Source: Circular to Creditors, Cor Cordis, 2 December 2025

Here are the main points customers should be aware of:

Zone RV was placed into Voluntary Administration on 1 December 2025

Three administrators from Cor Cordis have been appointed. Their role now includes full control of business operations and assessing the financial position of the company.

Zone RV is operating in a reduced capacity

The Administrators are allowing some limited trading while they review the business.

Creditors will decide the future of Zone RV

Two formal creditor meetings will be held.
The first meeting will take place on 10 December 2025 at 11:00am (AEDT) via virtual meeting technology. Details on how to attend are included in the issued documentation.

Administrators cannot yet advise what money will be recoverable

They emphasise that it is too early to estimate potential returns to creditors. This applies to deposits, progress payments and unpaid claims.

If you paid Zone RV directly, you are considered a creditor

The Administrators have highlighted that individuals who paid deposits, instalments or have open warranty claims may be creditors of the company.

Administrators encourage creditors to lodge their information promptly

This includes informal proof of debt forms and voting documents ahead of the first meeting.

2. What You Should Do If You Have Made Payments to Zone Manufacturing Pty Ltd

If you have any money paid to Zone RV (including deposits, progress payments or funds paid toward a caravan that has not been delivered), the Administrators’ documents outline the steps you should take to ensure you are registered correctly.

Step 1: Complete the Informal Proof of Debt (POD) Form

This form allows the Administrators to recognise you as a creditor for meeting participation and communication.
It requires:

  • Your name and contact details
  • The amount you have paid
  • How the debt arose (for example, deposit for caravan, progress payment, warranty claim, etc.)
  • Any documents that support the claim (receipts, contracts, invoices, emails)
  • Whether you have any security interest registered (most customers will not)

(Form basis: POD form provided within meeting documentation)

Step 2: Submit Your POD Form to the Administrators

Email: zone@corcordis.com.au
Deadline to vote at the first meeting: 5pm AEDT, 9 December 2025

Step 3 (Optional): Submit a Proxy Form

If you wish to vote at the meeting but cannot attend, you may appoint a proxy.

Step 4: Attend (or observe) the First Creditors Meeting

Date: 10 December 2025
Time: 11:00am AEDT
Format: Virtual
Purpose of this meeting:

  • Decide whether a committee of inspection will be formed
  • Consider whether Administrators should be replaced
  • Table initial independence and remuneration notices

No decisions about the future of the company are made at this meeting; that will occur at the second meeting (expected in January).

3. Updates for Customers With Caravans Currently at Zone RV

We know many of you have caravans currently sitting at the Zone RV factory, some of them near completion. Based on conversations and feedback received over the past few days, here is what we can share.

Again, this is not advice, and Off Grid Outfitters does not speak for the Administrators. We are simply sharing the picture as we currently understand it and some possible outcomes.

a) Vans with high completion status

For customers whose caravans are largely complete and were awaiting final payment or handover, there is cautious optimism.

Our understanding is that once:

  • The Administrators verify ownership of parts and components fitted to the van
  • Any relevant PMSIs over materials or components have been released
  • Clear title can be established

there may be a pathway and motivation for these vans to be released to customers.

This is not yet confirmed, and final decisions rest solely with the Administrators. However, given the amount of Press coverage and public intrest, there is real optimism that the Administrators will work toward a positive outcome for these customers.

b) What could a release look like?

Although not confirmed, scenarios may include:

  • Customers paying their remaining balance (if applicable) to the Administrators rather than Zone RV
  • Administrators confirming the van is free of secured claims before it can be collected
  • Customers potentially being asked to verify or re-submit certain documents
  • Freight / Collection from Zone HQ

We are working on plans to assist owners with collection of any vans from Zone HQ and relocation to safe storage offsite. Handovers and/or transport from this location may be possible and more details are to come.

c) What we are doing as Off Grid Outfitters

We are actively communicating with customers, sharing factual updates, and helping people organise their documents and timelines so they are ready if the Administrators provide release instructions.

We are working with various local companies and stakeholders to assist with the fast collection and safe storage of vans as required or if requested; along with potentially accomodating customers for handovers and hook-up etc once they can travel to storage location.

Many customers are understandably stressed, so we’re here to offer steady, human support while this evolves.

d) What we cannot do

We cannot authorise collection of vans
We cannot request release of vans
We cannot speak on behalf of the Administrators
We cannot provide certainty until formal guidance is issued

4. A Simple Explanation of PMSI

A PMSI, or Purchase Money Security Interest, is a type of registered security on the PPSR.
It typically exists when a supplier has provided goods or materials (for example, components used in a caravan build) and retains an interest in those goods until they are fully paid for.

If a PMSI exists over materials used in a caravan:

  • Those components technically remain the property of the supplier
  • They must be cleared or released before the Administrators can provide clear title to the finished van
  • This process is common during insolvency events and needs to be finalised to protect customers and creditors

You do not need to take action regarding PMSIs; this sits with the Administrators and secured parties and is some of the delay or timeframe needed at the moment for them to achieve this outcome.

5. We Are Here With You

This is a heavy situation for many families. The lack of certainty, the waiting, and the unknowns are stressful and frustrating. You are not going through it alone. Our team has been working closely with dozens of Zone RV customers every day since the news broke, helping with guidance, paperwork, and conversations.

We will continue to update you as more information becomes available.

If you need assistance completing forms or want help understanding the documents, please contact us directly. While we cannot speak for the Administrators or provide legal or financial advice, we can help you stay organised, informed and supported.
